1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it once forward and backward five times.
2. Remove the key from the ignition.
3. Hold and press the unlock button three times on your BMW key fob.
4. Release the unlock button.
5. Repeat step 3 within 30 seconds from the original key programming if you have other fobs.
6. Put the key in the ignition and turn on your BMW to complete the process.

3. Turn the key back towards you and remove it.
4. On the key that is programmed, hold down the unlock button and BMW logo button three times.
5. Release only the unlock button.
6. The doors should automatically lock and unlock.
7. Hold down the unlock button and BMW logo three times on the new key fob.
8. Release the unlock button.
9. You will know the new key fob is ready when the car doors automatically lock and unlock.
